How to manage mortgages, pension funds, severance pay and other fundamental aspects of financial planning? You also learn it thanks to your company because financial education today can be part of corporate welfare. The idea of the FunniFin startup that transforms the relationship between workers and money pleases and is demonstrated by the new round of financing that has just closed: 850 thousand euros, of which 650 thousand euros in equity and 200 thousand euros in soft loans.
The transaction involved major investors and key institutions. Among the main protagonists of the round: CDP Venture Capital SGR, SocialFare Seed, Avanzi Etica Sicaf EUVECA and Fondazione Italiana Accenture. In addition to these are: Syscon srl, a Rome-based company specialized in HR Tech and digital solutions, and Marco Costaguta, chairman of the strategic consulting firm OC&C Italy that participated through the Timeless II S.R.L. vehicle. A significant part, of 200,000 euros, was raised through the soft finance call”Tecnonides” of Puglia Sviluppo.
FunniFin was born from the idea of Leonardo Capotosto and Lapo Nidiaci, former classmates at the ESCP Business School in Paris, who decided to work to improve financial literacy by making every concept fun, accessible to everyone. They were later joined by two other co-founders Maurizio Rinaldi and Michele Bramante.
Founded in November 2021 and operating full-time since January 2022, the startup participated in the Hubble acceleration program, created by Nana Bianca and Fondazione CR Firenze. In the coming months, thanks to the resources collected, new features will be launched that will allow users to obtain economic support directly through the platform, exploiting the potential of AI to offer quick and effective solutions. The 2025 goal is ambitious: to triple the number of customers, who today number about ten, and to reach the 60,000 employees served.
The FunniFin project has grown tremendously on the technological front. We have understood that the use of artificial intelligence to support employees represents a key point in offering a personalized and effective experience. Thanks to this intuition, our SaaS platform has been significantly improved in every aspect: from usability to integration with other systems, to a scalability that allows us to respond quickly to the needs of a constantly evolving market.

In addition, their support in task planning and product optimization was crucial to refine our solutions and make them even more efficient and innovative.
