The platform allows the booking of desks, parking spaces and meeting rooms at the company headquarters

Immediately after the question: “What is my RAL?” the job interview candidate asks: “How many days of smart do I have?” The company's response on remote working hours depends on the possibility of winning the resource that could make the business grow. Hybrid, flexible or smart, whatever you want, this is the future of work: “it's the new normal, there's no going back”, according to Riccardo Suardi, founder of Nibol, a platform that since the end of 2020 has been helping companies to optimize office space, to manage and make meeting rooms and parking spaces bookable, and even to manage packages for employees.

Data from the Smart Working Observatory of the Politecnico di Milano confirm this trend: in 2022, 1.84 million people in Italy worked in Smart Working in large companies. Compared to 2021, when agile work was present in 81% of companies, Smart Working grew in 2022, reaching 91% of companies.

“Efficient office, happy employees”, reads Nibol's slogan that accompanies “the new normal” of work, offering employees the opportunity to choose spaces and locations to work and take full advantage of the hours in the office dedicated mainly to talking with colleagues, to be combined with remote work hours, “according to the vast majority of the people we interviewed - explains Suardi - these hours offer the opportunity to reduce distractions, take advantage of their routines, avoid problems related to travel and in general to increase their quality of life”.

Nibol developed in times of Covid, as you can easily guess, but Suardi explains that it owes its birth to word of mouth among employees who had already started a hybrid way of working before Covid, in 2018 it was used to help people find the best cafés with Wi-Fi around Milan.

“We have responded to a real need, today many of our 60 customers have beautiful corporate offices, environments built to make employees talk, shared tables to promote collaboration, with Nibol they are able to better organize their attendance at the headquarters and save about 30% of the costs associated with the office, because from the platform it is possible to monitor the occupancy rate of the workstations and manage the work environment accordingly.”

The subscription to Nibol works on licenses, the company pays based on the number of employees and the product is designed and developed internally by the software company that guarantees constant updates and versions that are always in step with the times, which keep the functionality under control and integrate the functionality with the habits of the companies. “We aim to have a high quality product from a functional point of view that meets all the needs of a way of working that is the new normal.”

The platform dedicates a particular focus to the floor plan editor, the company can upload the plant file of the company headquarters, including rooms and parking lots, and define the entities that can be booked. “An important tool - explains Suardi - that encourages collaborations between employees and better manages the methods of meeting. A way to maintain the enthusiasm and motivation of employees, which we think can also help increase a company's productivity.”
